Sandy Beach
O’ahu, Hawaii
I rented an SPL underwater housing for my Canon 5D mkII & 24-70mm lens and took it out to my childhood stomping grounds – Sandy Beach on O’ahu. This beach and it’s consistent shore break has barreled countless bodysurfers and body boarders. I was driving by on my way to another spot and noticed that water conditions were superb. Clean, clear & glassy, the barrels were open and it looked like a perfect opportunity to get a shot.
At this playful size the waves broke directly at the shore where I was able snap off a couple shots. Tourist stand in the sand in awe of this dynamic ocean and pristine blue green water.
Just another day in Hawaii. How would you like to wake up to a swim in water like this?
